Join the Indianapolis IIA Chapter and the Indiana CPA Society in a 2 hour CPE training event!

The Social Media Training Event will be led by Jenifer Groth. Jenifer Groth, APR, is the Public Relations and Social Media Manager for the Indiana CPA Society. She is responsible for the Society’s social media initiatives and media relations, and assists in planning and managing the Society’s public relations strategies and programs. She also is the producer/director for the Society’s Inside INCPAS video series on the INCPAS YouTube Channel.

Groth has an extensive background working in what was once called “new media” and now social media. Prior to joining the Society, she worked as a new media marketing & content producer and online producer for The Indianapolis Star. She also worked as a web editor for Indianapolis Woman Magazine. Her prior media experience includes working in production at INDY-TV and as an associate producer at WTHR in Indianapolis.

Groth graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in communications from Indiana University. She earned the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) credential in December 2009 through the Public Relations Society of America. She also received the IOM Graduate Recognition in 2011 upon completing 96 hours of course instruction in nonprofit management through the Institute for Organization Management offered by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

She is an active member of PRSA, Hoosier Chapter PRSA and the Indiana Society of Association Executives. Groth served as president for the Indiana Jump$tart Coalition and chair for the media committee for Money Smart Week Indiana in 2010. In 2008, her work was recognized with an Indiana Society of Association Executives STAR Award for Outstanding Membership Program for the INCPAS campus presentations program.
